Ummm, have to start with that. Seems like its appropriate. Ilive in a great place called Port Macquarie. NSW - Australia for over 50 years now. Been in to Bonsai/Penjing for about 30 years now. A mate told me about it and then showed me and away i went. Been doing it ever since. Been involved in some local clubs, got together with some of the people in these clubs and started our little Penjing group about 6 years ago. We started to make Land scape on marble trays and rock settings. Added some in to the local bonsai shows, then took some tray landscapes to Sydney to show them at the Chinese Gardens for a few years. Also at the right time of the year. Bring your Bonsai to me or i can go to you. Care will be for a month, depends on the stress of the plant What i do Fertilizing regularly during the growth season is crucial for your Bonsai to survive. Normal trees are able to extend their root system looking for nutrients; Bonsai however are planted in rather small pots and need to be fertilized in order to replenish the soil's nutritional content. Fertilizing Bonsai spa Soil Using the right soil mixture for your Bonsai trees is crucial. Soil is important to supply your trees with nutrients, but it also needs to drain properly, provide enough aeration and retain water. Though most (online) Bonsai shops sell ready-mixed soils, doing this yourself will save money and enables you to adjust mixtures per tree-species. Bonsai tree care

Originally only the elite of the society practiced pun-tsai with native-collected specimens and the trees where spread throughout China as luxurious gifts. During the Kamakura period, the period in which Japan adopted most of China’s cultural trademarks, the art of growing trees in containers was introduced into Japan. The Japanese developed Bonsai along certain lines due to the influence of Zen Buddhism and the fact that Japan is only 4% the size of mainland China. The range of landscape forms was thus much more limited. Many well-known techniques, styles and tools were developed in Japan from Chinese originals. Although known to a limited extent outside Asia for three centuries, only recently has Bonsai truly been spread outside its homelands. Bonsai History flash_on
